Hi all,
We have used OutlookDefaultProfile (), OutlookStartSession () and EmailListFolder () for a long time to retrieve the default profile, launch an outlook session, and retrieve the folder structure within the appropriate profile. Originally this is an example of PCSoft itself. We also use this with a customer of ours where it also worked properly until the end of June, beginning of July when the program caused an error (see picture) and it did not work anymore. We suspect it is caused by a Windows update, an Outlook update, or a security update. The network administrator has recovered for the backup, after which the program has been working for half a day to go wrong again. Curiously, it seems that the administrator does work, but as normal users do not. At least, in 99 out of 100 cases did not. A very rare time, it seems to work well. The users work via remote desktop on the server.
Who is familiar with this problem and knows a solution here? [attachment 2377 FoutDaOutlookOpenenPiece.png]
Translation of the error message (typical a message that does not help): CRM doesn't work anymore. The program doesn't work properly anymore because of a problem. Close the program. |

Hello Stefan,
Recently we encountered two problems Outlook related. The first one had to do with W10 and the preview window. Outlook did not start on W10 with our Windev17 application.
We could solve this with an upgrade 17=>22.
The second problem was really Outlook related and had to do with an update. We uninstalled the update and the problems were solved.
The best thing to do is google KB 3203467 and read about this. Maybe you have the same problem here.
Best regards,
Aad |

Hi Aad,
thanks a lot for your response.
I've now made a testprogram in WD22 for reading email from outlook and it works ok indeed. So I will convert our software to WD22 and test it on the clients site. |

Hi,
compiling the project to WD22 seems not to be enough in the case of our client. The client is working with Office 365 2016 Pro+ in Windows Server 2012. The security update that Aad mentioned is for Office 2010. So I suppose it has to be another cause.
Anyone with hints? |
